Jointly Organised by The Lakshadweep Administration and South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur.

Attolueidu is an Island Festival Jointly Organised by The Lakshadweep Administration and SouthZone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur.  The festival is held after a long gap of 14 years.  The South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur and Lakshadweep Administration will be the sponsors and District Panchayat, Lakshadweep is the co-sponsor of the Festival.  The SZCC will organize the Artists Choreographers and Handicraft Exhibitors with exhibits from various states as decided by them. The festival will held from 12th to 18th in five islands (Kavaratti, Agatti, Chetlat, Kadmat and Andrott).

Artists from North and East India will perform various artform presentations.  A pucca stage was constructed for Choreographic Presentation of 120 Artists at Kavaratti.

The main aim of Attolueidu 2009 is to promote Cultural values and Tourism in the Island
